Time to Take Care of You

Would you like to learn or maintain some simple tài jí practices that you can do just about anywhere? Maybe while on a dock at the cottage, your garden patio or even on a small balcony?

The beauty of this practice is that you don’t need any equipment because there is no on-the-floor work. Everything you learn will be from a standing position and can be done in a 4 × 6 foot space!

This course includes eight live, online 50-minute classes every Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. starting July 13 with all replays available!

If you are new to Tài jí Life, this is a great opportunity to follow along and become familiar with our classes. You will be introduced to a standing meditation, a gentle flow of movements and some tai chi fundamentals. You will find this to be a welcoming and supportive environment.

The goal for ongoing members is to review, improve your practice, and ask questions about what you have learned in “Ground & Self Connect”, “Awaken & Breath” and “Yang 8”.

Going to be away?

Don’t worry, the replays will be included. So not only can you catch up on missed classes, you can re-watch the lessons to keep learning and practicing.

The Five Words of Self-Composure by Sam Masich.

Various uses of the ‘five words’ help prepare your body and mind for the inner work and personal growth available through learning and practicing tài jí.

Review and practice standing meditation through a gentle Horse Stance.

This will help strengthen your legs, improve your posture and create a strong base for your tài jí learning and daily activities.

Flow through the “Awaken & Breathe” series.

A favourite of many! Practicing this routine is a wonderful way to gently stretch and wake up your whole body.

Learn and practice fundamental tai chi movements

Rather than trying to memorize a large quantity of movements, the focus will be on learning quality basics through a few movements. You will be able to apply this knowledge not only to future learning but to everyday life! You will discover how to use your body in a safe and effective way no matter what activity you may be doing. By learning a “mini routine” of one or two movements, you will be able to enjoy practicing your tài jí wherever you may be this summer.
